As the founder and President of Love Africa Mission, Nathan is passionate about life change for students serving on teams year after year in Africa. As an international speaker, he has been preaching the Gospel for decades all over the world, partnering with ministries like Compassion International, YWAM, Youth For Christ, Young Life, FCA, Africa Inland Mission, and countless churches. Nathan led his first team to Kenya in 2007, where he spoke at Rift Valley Academy and CURE Hospital. Since that time, Nathan has recruited, equipped, and sent hundreds of people on student and adult teams to East Africa because he knows that Jesus will break their hearts for the nations just as his heart was broken.

Nathan’s passion and love for people translates throughout all of his ministries as he points everyone he meets to Jesus. If you close your eyes while he speaks in his African accent you might mistake him for a native.

JD Meeder is a man of many colors. He has led various trips to Africa with Love Africa Mission and has been a big part of the life change that happens with each trip he has been on. Not only has JD worked in the hands on part of our ministry, he also works with the administrative side which involves coordinating interest calls and creating/preparing the different teams before they depart.

As Ministry Coordinator, Yoli is running just about everything that has to do with Love Africa Mission. She has a passion for Kenya, Kenyans,  and the way that students come through Love Africa to reach the nations. She herself was on a team, served on Core team, and has transitioned to being the Ministry Coordinator. She dreams to move to Kenya long-term to continue ministry there full time in various capacities.

Yoli is currently finishing her final semester at Texas State University studying Interdisciplinary Studies to become a certified elementary teacher. She is all about spending time with her community, living at coffee shops, and probably is talking about Kenya, yellow flowers, being where your feet are, or Jesus in any conversation she has. Yoli’s worst bad habits are when she loves a song, she will only listen to that song for a week straight because she loves it and wants to know all of the words and that her guilty pleasure in life is binge watching The Bachelor.

As Yoli’s assistant, Rachel takes on administrative tasks of Love Africa. She has a passion not only for Africa, but for students as well. Her dream is to work for a nonprofit one day and maybe even start her own.

Rachel is currently finishing up her senior year at Clemson University where she is studying Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management. At Clemson she has a heart for Young Life as well as FCA and just really loves people. Rachel is a little too obsessed with Justin Bieber and will spend all day convincing you that he genuinely loves the Lord.  She also can name any song within the first 5 seconds of hearing it—we’re not kidding.
