HIDDEN EXPENSES AND SPENDING MONEY 

Love Africa Mission strives to be an organization of financial integrity, so it is our desire that you experience no hidden fees/expenses while serving on mission with our organization.  Below is a list of items that are covered/not covered by our ministry. Take a minute to review so that you'll be fully prepared when the time comes!

COSTS COVERED BY LOVE AFRICA

  • Airfare to and from respective countries

  • Hotels, if necessary, during travel

  • Meals, Lodging & Transport in Country

  • Safari

COSTS NOT COVERED BY LOVE AFRICA

  • Special seating assignments on international airfare

  • Taxis/Trains/Subway during transit to Africa

  • Meals during transit to/from Africa Country

  • Visas (Kenya $50, Uganda $50, Rwanda $50, D.R. Congo (info coming soon) )

  • Spending Money

  • Overweight Baggage Fees (when applicable)

  • All Vaccinations

  • Purchase of Passports

  • Additional in-country activities not included in your sight-seeing / safari package (for example, Mt. Longonot Hike in Kenya, etc…)

SPENDING MONEY

The amount of spending money you will want to take will vary by country and personal preference for shopping. It is recommended that you take enough spending money for meals during international transit, souvenirs in Africa, ministry donations, and personal snacks or coffees, In addition, some of our trips offer additional activities not covered by Love Africa Mission.  In most cases, $100 + money for optional activities will suffice.
